The device (10) has heat producing devices (14, 14') arranged to warm up cavities in a core of a bed mattress (12) at temperature of 60 degree Celsius. The bed mattress is made of hard inflammable material i.e. aramide. Suction systems (22, 22') i.e. vacuum cleaners, are provided to remove sediments from the bed mattress, and temperature sensors (18, 18') are arranged in the bed mattress. The heat producing devices are selected from a group consisting of a hot-air producing device, a heating mat, an infra-red light producing device or a heating wire containing device. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling pest in a mattress.
