PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-like peeling member that can be used under a high temperature condition and maintains excellent sheet-peeling performance over a long period of time, and to provide an electrophotographic apparatus using the peeling member. SOLUTION: The sheet-like peeling member 1 peels paper from a fixing member by bringing the leading end 2e of a sheet-like base material 2 which is formed of a sheet metal into contact with or close to the fixing member of the electrophotographic apparatus. In the sheet-like peeling member, at least the surface of the sheet-like base material 2 on which paper passes except the tip 2e thereof has 30 to 1800 pieces of recesses 2c with a depth of 15μm to 500μm per 1 cm<SP>2</SP>.
