The method involves determining variation of difference in temperature between a temperature catalyst and temperature of a cooking enclosure of a domestic machine by interval of time during heating phase of the pyrolysis process. The determined variation is compared with a threshold value, where the threshold value is 10 degree celcius per minute and 15 degree celcius per minute. A reduction of the heating power and/or the air flow is carried out based on the result of comparison.
