PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a runner for a curtain rail which includes a runner body pivoted so as to be freely opened and closed and an opening operation portion for opening a runner clamping body, and consequently is easily attached to and detached from a curtain rail without being forcibly opened. SOLUTION: The runner for the curtain rail is hooked to the left and right rail projections 2 of the curtain rail 4 from the sides of rail grooves 3 formed above the rail projections and is suspended. The runner for the curtain rail includes: the runner body 6 having an upper part provided with an body hooking piece 5 hooked to one of the left and right rail projections 2 of the curtain rail 4; the runner clamping body 9 which is pivoted by the runner body 6 through an opening/closing shaft 7 so as to be freely opened and closed and has an upper part including a clamping body hooking piece 8 hooked to the other one of the left and right projections 2 of the curtain rail 4; and urging means 10 which causes the body hooking piece 5 and the clamping body hooking piece 8 to urge the curtain rail 4 in the direction of clamping and to keep a suspended state K.
