<p>Provided is a radio receiver which continues to search for an analog broadcast signal without making a stop because of misidentification of a digital broadcast signal for the analog broadcast signal. The radio receiver receives a broadcast signal to generate an RF signal, generates an IF signal from the RF signal, detects the electric field intensity and frequency of the IF signal, detects the IF signal to generate a detected signal, detects the intensity of a noise signal which is a harmonic component of a digital signal from the detected signal, determines that a desired analog broadcast signal is included in the broadcast signal when the electric field intensity of the IF signal is larger than or equal to a predetermined electric field intensity, and the frequency thereof is within a predetermined frequency range, and further the signal intensity detected by a noise signal detecting means is smaller than or equal to a predetermined value, and controls so as to stop the search.</p> |
