<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly improve manufacturing efficiency of BD-R disks or the like and to reduce cost thereof. <P>SOLUTION: An information recording layer of an optical recording medium includes a recording film containing Zn or Al, Pd, and O, wherein the amount of the O is larger than that in the stoichiometric composition when the Zn or Al is completely oxidized to be ZnO or Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>. In the case, very excellent recording/reproducing characteristics can be obtained, moreover, the information recording layer has sufficient reflectance, therefore eliminating the need of a reflecting film. A very simple layer structure is obtained by forming a single membrane structure or double membranes structure wherein only a protective film is added. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
