<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering an alcohol in high yield from a tin alkoxide to which at least one of alkoxy groups derived from an alcohol having the boiling point higher than that of water is bonded. <P>SOLUTION: The method for recovering the alcohol from the tin alkoxide includes reacting a tin atom with an acid and the tin alkoxide to which at least one of the alkoxy groups derived from the alcohol having the boiling point higher than that of water is bonded, to exchange the alkoxy group with the group derived from the acid to by-produce the alcohol derived from the alkoxy group, and separating and recovering the by-produced alcohol by distillation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
