PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolating apparatus which maintains stable bearing pressure irrespective of an additional load and surely exhibits a base isolating performance for controlling microvibration in addition to the base isolating performance in case of an earthquake. SOLUTION: The base isolating apparatus includes a rigid sliding support 7 including an upper sliding member 7b supported to a base isolation floor 1 through a plate spring 7a and energized downward by the plate spring 7a, and a lower sliding member 7c fixed to a lower structure 3 disposed below the base isolation floor 1 and pressed with pressing force corresponding to the energization of the plate spring 7a from the upper sliding member 7b; and guide rail supports 6 each including an X-axis rail 6a extended in one horizontal direction and fixed to the lower structure 3, a Y-axis rail 6b extended in the other horizontal direction orthogonal to the X-axis rail 6a and fixed to the base isolation floor 1, and a connecting support member 6c with its upper end connected to the Y-axis rail 6b and with its lower end connected to the X-axis rail 6a respectively in a retractable manner along the respective rails 6a, 6b.
