PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small highly-efficient insulative bidirectional DC-DC converter. SOLUTION: The first switching circuit of the bidirectional DC-DC converter includes a first switching leg connected in series with a switching element H1 and a switching element H2, and a second switching leg connected in series with a switching element H3 and a switching element H4 and connected in parallel with the first switching leg. A DC terminal is between both ends of the first switching leg. An AC terminal is between a point for serially connecting the switching element H1 with the switching element H2 and a point for serially connecting the switching element H3 with the switching element H4. A control means is provided with a mode A that keeps the ON status of the switching element H2 and the switching element H3 when power is fed to the first DC power source from the second DC power source.
