PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release lock through simple operation without using any external device. SOLUTION: A cellular phone includes: a function restriction part for restricting a function of the apparatus itself; a detection part for detecting contact with a human body at a plurality of detection points; a pattern storage part which stores a pattern representing presence/absence of contact at each of the plurality of detection points; and a restriction release part in which, if the pattern indicating the presence/absence of contact with the human body at each of the plurality of detection points detected by the detection part is not matched with the pattern stored in the pattern storage part, the restriction due to the function restriction part is not released but if matched, the restriction due to the function restriction part is released, thereby implementing the function of the cellular phone.
