PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize engine behavior independently of the operation condition of a brake booster. SOLUTION: An engine control device includes: an engine 12 having a fuel injection means 23 and used in a vehicle 10; a brake device 35 provided in the vehicle 10; the brake booster 32 connected to an intake passage 31 and assisting the operation of the brake device 35 by negative pressure in the intake passage 31; a booster pressure variation calculating means 52 calculating a variationΔPBBof booster pressure PBB; a torque disturbance amount calculating means 54, 68 calculating a disturbance amountΔTQ of torque of the engine 12 resulted from the operation of the brake booster 32, based on the booster pressure variationΔPBB; and a target torque setting means 55, 70, 91 setting target torque TQtof the engine 12 while taking the disturbance amountΔTQ into account.
