摘要 <p>Disclosed is a cylinder device (110) which can selectively create an operating-force-dependent pressurization state wherein brake fluid is pressurized by the operating force applied to the brake pedal (150), or a high-pressure-source-pressure-dependent pressurization state wherein brake fluid is pressurized dependent on the pressure from an external high-pressure source device (118) regardless of forward motion of an input piston (406). The input piston is fit into a blind bore of a first pressurizing piston (402) from the rear and an inter-piston chamber (R6) is defined in front of the input piston. Along with this, an input chamber (R3) to which pressure from the external high-pressure source device is input and an opposing chamber (R7) are respectively formed to the rear and to the front of the flange (430) of the first pressurizing piston, and a reaction force chamber (R8) is formed by the inter-piston chamber and opposing chamber being made to communicate. The cylinder device is provided with a mechanism for elastically pressurizing the reaction force chamber, and a mechanism for switching to either a state wherein the reaction force chamber and reservoir are in communication or a state wherein the same are not in communication.</p>
