<p>A method, a base station, and a system for transmitting sub-carriers are provided by the embodiments of the present invention. The method includes: dividing the sub-carriers of the signals to be transmitted on the whole frequency band into M transmitting groups, where M = 2, and utilizing one transmitting group as one unit, distributing said sub-carriers to M transmitting antennae of a base station for broadcast transmission. The method, the base station, and the system for transmitting the sub-carriers provided by the embodiments of the present invention require a synchronization/broadcast/control channel on an omni-directional beam, so that the same Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) signal is transmitted by multiple transmitting antennae and each antenna transmits the data on a part of the frequency domain, thereby enhancing the average power of each sub-carrier, and increasing the coverage of a base station downlink channel and the receiving signal to noise ratio (SNR) of the user equipment. A user equipment can reliably decode the message sent by the base station, and cell edge coverage and the throughput can be increased.</p> |
