PURPOSE: A method for analyzing polyester resins is provided to enable quantitative and qualitative analysis of ingredients of polyester resins in a short time. CONSTITUTION: A method for analyzing polyester resins comprises: a step of dissolving a polyester sample in an organic solvent; a step of inputting TMAH(tetramethylammonium hydroxide) for making the polyester sample into methylester; and a step of analyzing the kind and content of ingredient of the polyester sample using GC(gas chromatography) or GC-Mass device. The polyester sample is PET(polyethylene terephthalate), PBT(polybutylene terephthalate), PEN(polyethylene naphthalate), or polydihydroxymethylcyclohexyl therephthalate. The organic solvent is (N,N-dimethyl formamide), THF(tetrahydrofuran), DMSO(dimethyl sulfoxide), HFIP(Hexafluoro-2-propanol), m-cresol(m-methylphenol), mixture thereof.
