RESISTOR, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING AND MOUNTING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistor capable of preventing deterioration of overload characteristics; and to provide a method manufacturing and mounting the same.

SOLUTION: The resistor includes: a base mount 11 whose cross-sectional surface is substantially in a rectangular shape and which is composed of a ceramic insulator; and a metal film 12 provided on the entire surface of the base mount 11. The metal film 12 is composed of: electrodes 13 located on both ends of the base mount 11; and an element 14 located between electrodes 13. A through-hole 16 is formed on the metal film 12 of the electrodes 13.
