<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition showing an excellent fuel saving effect without using any friction modifier containing molybdenum. <P>SOLUTION: The lubricating oil composition includes: (a) an oil of lubricating viscosity having a viscosity index of at least about 95; (b) at least one calcium detergent; (c) at least one oil-soluble titanium compound; (d) at least one friction modifier; and (e) at least one metal dihydrocarbyl dithiophosphate compound. The composition has Noack volatility of about 15 wt.% or less, and contains about 0.05-0.6 wt.% of calcium from the calcium detergent, at least about 10-1,500 ppm of titanium metal from the titanium compound, and 0.1 wt.% or less of phosphorus from the metal dihydrocarbyl dithiophosphate compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
