Sliding coupling for joining conduit sections - has shanks formed by double layers and ends in upright portion

The sliding coupling member joins together sections of air conduit where the ends have been bent over through 180 deg. It comprises a single piece of sheet-metal bent several times so that its shanks engage behind the bent-over conduit ends and having an upright portion of height appreciably greater than its base width. The two shanks(23, 23') consist of double layers formed by bending the metal. The inner layers join together, spanning the base, and the ends(22, 29) are in the upright portion, so as to form a closed body.
