PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building construction constructible from walls or a ceiling having a sufficient thickness not generating a damage caused by collision of a flying object, concerning a building for a boiling water reactor wherein a building shell part has a rectangular plane cross-section, incapable of installing a support for a roof construction near the center on the building uppermost story. SOLUTION: A nuclear power plant building 10 having a multi-surface flat-plate shell construction includes a roof horizontal slab 1 positioned on a center part, roof slanting slabs 2 arrayed on the periphery, corner slanting slabs 3 arrayed on slanting positions of the roof horizontal slab 1, and corner horizontal slabs 4 arranged on each end of the corner slanting slabs 3 on the four corners of the roof. Each brace wall 6 made of reinforced concrete for fixing mutually adjacent outer walls 5 is formed under each corner horizontal slab 4 on the four corners which are corners of the building shell part.
