PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably polish the whole surface of a workpiece whose surface is shaped with corner portions and flat portions. SOLUTION: In this polishing method for the workpiece 18 rotating around a rotational axis A, a disc-shaped polishing tool 20 fixed to one end of a rotational axis C is used for polishing the surface of the workpiece 18 with an outer peripheral edge Q of the polishing tool 20 abutting thereon.
