SOLID DISPERSION COMPOSITION

A solid dispersion extended release tablet composition is provided. The composition comprises fluvastatin sodium and a polymer, wherein molecules of the fluvastatin sodium are separate from one another and dispersed in the polymer, and wherein the composition displays two distinct peaks at about 3.5 and 20.4.degrees 2&thetas; of X-ray diffraction.
