METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ALLOCATING SECONDARY MEMORY

A method and a device for allocating a secondary memory are employed in a memory field. The method includes: paging the secondary memory according to a predetermined page size; dividing the secondary memory into multiple physical memory pages whose size is equal to the predetermined page size; scanning the secondary memory and recoding the physical address and the damage degree of each physical memory page in units of the predetermined page size; obtaining the allocation information of the physical memory pages and allocating the physical memory according to the recorded physical address and the recorded damage degree of the physical memory pages and the allocation information of the physical memory pages, when a request for applying for the physical memory is received. The method and the device scan the secondary memory, record the physical address and the damage degree of each physical memory page, and allocate the memory according to the physical address and the damage degree of the physical memory pages and the allocation information so as to avoid initiatively the physical memory pages which are damaged seriously, employ the physical memory pages which are damaged slightly to the maximum extent, thereby the efficiency of the secondary memory is improved.
