METHOD OF INDUCING THE DIFFERENTIATION OF HUMAN EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS INTO MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS

Disclosed is a method for inducing human embryonic stem cells to differentiate into mesenchymal stem cells, using an optimal medium. Human embryonic stem cells are induced differentiate into mesodermal progenitors by activating TGF-ß (Transforming growth factor-ß), WNT and BMP (Bone morphogenic protein) signaling pathways and further into mesenchymal stem cells by treating with bFGF. The method is effective for producing mesenchymal stem cells, useful cell-based therapies, on a large scale.
