The electric motor, particularly starter motor, has a centrifugal brake (6) that is arranged between an anchor (1) and housing, where the centrifugal brake has a brake shoe (8) provided at the anchor. The brake shoe is adjusted between a non-deflected position and a radially deflected position in a centrifugal force-dependent manner. The brake shoe is co-operated with a housing-lateral brake partner in the brake position.
