<p>In the disclosed ballpoint pen, the volume of the ball house is minimized to the extent that it does not cause blurring of a drawn line. The ball house (30) is formed by cutting an inner periphery of a tapered portion (21) formed by tapering the outside periphery of one end of a holder (20) formed by cutting a columnar material and comprises an inside face (31), a bottom face (33), and a tapered connection face (32) connecting annularly the inside face (31) and the bottom face (33). With the taper angle of the bottom face (33) being represented by x, and the taper angle of the connecting face (32) being represented by y, the angles x and y satisfy the relation: x>y. The channel grooves (27) are formed radially around the ink hole (26) penetrating the bottom face (33) through portions of the connecting face (32) and the bottom face (33).</p> |
