EVAPORATOR ICING THAWING METHOD OF AIR CONDITIONING APPARATUS FOR A VEHICLE

PURPOSE: An evaporator thawing method for an air conditioner of a vehicle is provided to implement thawing at proper timing by accurately predicting and detecting the point of time when condensate freezes on an evaporator surface. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerant temperature sensor is installed in a refrigerant outlet line(2) of an evaporator(1). A halogen lamp(20) is installed on one side of the evaporator. A controller(30) controls on/off of the halogen lamp so that the halogen lamp is turned on to thaw the surface of the evaporator when the temperature of refrigerant passing through the refrigerant outlet line is maintained below the set temperature over the set time during the operation of a compressor(4) and turned off when the temperature of refrigerant passing through the refrigerant outlet line exceeds the set temperature during the thawing.
