Preparation of stabilized pesticidal compositions as claimed in the parent patent FR 70/37906 in which a solution of a stabilizer in a suitable volatile solvent is used to impregnate a rigid mineral support before it is impregnated by the active liquid pesticide and then removing the solvent by evaporation. Convenient method for preparing uniform compositions, usually insecticidal. The preferred insecticide is dichlorvos; the rigid porous, mineral support having a density at least equal to 2 is obtained by sintering and may be a metal, a metallic oxide, a metal silicate or silica. Preferred stabilizers are derivatives of styrene, stilbene or benzylideneacetone, epoxides, metallic derivatives of fatty acids, azo compounds or phenols. Evaporation of the solvent may be under reduced pressure with or without heating, or in a current of air. There is a long list of stabilizers and suitable solvents. A typical stabilizer is sodium palmitate dissolved in aqueous 80% acetone used at 10 g./kg. at 25 degrees C.
|
