<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline secondary battery using a positive electrode containing a carbonaceous material as a conductive material, of which cycle life is hardly damaged even if overcharged. <P>SOLUTION: The positive electrode composition for the alkaline secondary battery contains an activator of a nickel hydroxide group or the like, a conductive material, and a resin component. The conductive material contains a particle-shaped carbonaceous material whose degree of graphitization analyzed by Raman spectroscopy is not less than 0.3 and not more than 0.8. The conductive material further contains a fibrous carbon material whose half-value width of X-rays (004) diffraction line at 2θ is not less than 1.25 degrees and not more than 3.00 degrees. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
