PURPOSE: A method for controlling an image forming device supporting polishable prints in a host device, a host device performing the same and an image forming device are provided to polish a printed part of prints outputted from the image forming device without adding a new hardware by using a printer driver of the host device. CONSTITUTION: A communication interface(210) receives printing data added to polish printing option information from a host device connected to an image forming device. A control unit(220) determines whether to polish prints or not by using the printing data. If the polishalbe printing option is set, an image forming unit(251) prints the printing data on a printing paper. The image forming unit includes a fixing unit(2511).
