PURPOSE: A system and a method for producing an animation image by means of situation recognition, and an apparatus applied to the same are provided to transfer the expressions of a user to the other party through expression changes of an interactive avatar by changing the operation of the interactive avatar under the Internet-based virtual environment. CONSTITUTION: A user interface unit(310) designates a target object which appears through an Internet community service, and responds to the request of a user terminal device for setting an animation image corresponding to the target object. A storage unit(320) stores the animation image and the service setting information formed based on the request. A context recognizer(330) executes the context recognition for the appearance of the target object. If context in which the target object appears occurs, an animation image provider(340) displays the animation image.
