<p>The motor vehicle axle includes at least one differential transmission and connected to it at least one gear on the wheel side. The wheel side gear (16,17) is installed in the drive train (9) of the running wheel (7,8) and basically transmits only torsional loads while the flexural loads of the supporting journals (32,33) are directed into the frame (12) of the vehicle through the bypassing of the drive elements of the wheel side gear. The wheel side gear is installed in the immediate area below the connecting points (10,11) of the drive axle to the frame.</p> |
