PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for collecting and disposing food waste are provided to reduce bad odor by installing a dehydrating part, generating the bad odor, at far position. CONSTITUTION: Food waste, generated from apartment complex and restaurant, is dumped through a sink. The food waste is collected into a hopper(2) installed at a compressor(1). A cylinder is operated to compress the food waste. The food waste is transferred to a dehydrating part, and liquid generated from the food waste is separated from the food waste in a dehydrating unit. Cylinders(3) compress the food waste, and the food waste is formed into sludge. The sludge shaped food waste is discharged.
