PURPOSE: A method for controlling a cancellation key of an electric rice cooker is provided to prevent high-temperature and high-pressure steam from being discharged even if a cancellation key is inputted while cooking rice. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a cancellation key of an electric rice cooker is as follows. A rice cooking process is ended when a cancellation key is inputted during a soaking process(S200). When the cancellation key is inputted during a heating process(S300), an electric heating load is immediately stopped. When the inner temperature of a rice cooker is less than a fixed temperature, the rice cooking process is ended by discharging steam. When the inner temperature of the rice cooker is more than the fixed temperature, the inner temperature is naturally lowered.
