The method involves relieving the rollers (3) on entering into a part region of a support region (11), where the rollers revolve endlessly in a support device (12). The relieved rollers are aligned and loaded in a renewed manner on leaving the part region of the support device, where the steps of relieving-aligning-loading are repeated several times for a roller moving along the support region. The alignment of the relieved rollers is driven by the intrinsic weight of the rollers or by mechanical guiding of the rollers. An independent claim is also included for a support device for supporting conveyed objects.
