The method involves preparing a movement model for the electric drive system, where the model comprises the torque of inertia of the electric drive system and the rotation speed-dependent load proportion. The scaling factor is determined by recording the measuring data on the basis of the movement model. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining a scaling factor of an electrical drive system.
