PURPOSE: A method and a device for transmitting a signal for estimating a location of a user device in a wireless mobile communication system are provided to increase location measuring performance of a user device in consideration of a cell planning environment of a network. CONSTITUTION: A method for transmitting a signal for estimating a location of a user device in a wireless mobile communication system comprises the following steps. Information about a reference signal pattern of a sub frame for estimating a location of the user device is transmitted wherein a plurality of cells transmits the reference signal pattern. A sub frame for estimating the location is transmitted. A signal for notifying whether a reference signal pattern included in the sub frame is converted into a sub frame unit in each cell is transmitted.
