PURPOSE: A driving device with a current limit function for a light emitting diode is provided to improve power conversion efficiency by suppressing an LED peak current. CONSTITUTION: A power source(110) supplies power to a driving device(100) for a light emitting diode. A constant current controller(120) supplies a reference current. A dimming unit(130) controls the brightness of the light emitting diode according to a dimming signal. A current limit unit(140) blocks a current path if the current is higher than a reference value.
