PURPOSE: A portable exercise prescription device and an exercise prescription method using the same are provided to improve the accuracy of exercise prescription by estimating the amount of oxygen consumption and the amount of exercise in real time. CONSTITUTION: A hear rate measuring part(110) measures the heart rate of a user. A position determining part(120) collects the position information of a portable exercise prescription device. A signal generating part(130) generates a signal based on the exercise state of the user. A controlling part(140) informs the intensity of exercise according to the purpose of the exercise by estimating the amount of oxygen consumption.
