<p>The invention relates to a process for making a footwear article, comprising joining the upper with the sole by means of a joining structure (230) consisting of a profiled tape having four joining surfaces to make the connection with the upper and the sole, respectively. According to the invention, the process consists in sewing a first part (231) of the joining structure (230) on the outside of the lower part (220) of the lateral upper (210); fixing, on the outside of the first part and normal thereto, a second part (232) of the structure, provided with holes and grooves communicating to one another; fixing a third part of the structure (233), normal to the second part (232) and parallel to the first part (231), so as to define a space (235) with the lower edge of the upper and to extend inwards by a forth part (234) consisting of a plurality of elements in the shape of saw teeth; placing them in a mould and moulding the sole so that the moulded material fills both the holes and the grooves of the structure, as well as the space (235) created between the structure elements and the lower edge of the upper.</p> |
