INSTALLATION FOR THE OPTIMIZATION OF POWER FACTOR IN TRANSFORMER STATIONS OF 20/6 KV

The invention relates to an installation for the optimization of the power factor in transformer stations of 20/6 kV. According to the invention, the installation comprises three compartments (1, 2 and 3): a low voltage compartment (1) wherein a programmable automaton (a) and the secondary control and signaling circuits for the automatic/local working modes are intended to be mounted; the compartment (2) containing the system of bars of 6 kV, fuses of 100 A/7.2 kV with some sensors (b), some vacuum commutation contactors (c) and some current limiting coils (d); and the compartment (3) wherein some capacitors (e) are mounted, depending on the value and number of stages required, the so obtained energy compensation installation having the role of achieving an accurate control of the power factor in relation to an indexed one, by the commutation of the stages of capacitors (e) depending on the compensation power required as a consequence of the variation of the reactive power.
