<p>The invention relates to an audio-tactile device meant to be used in education, knowledge and individual learning by persons with major visual disabilities. According to the invention, the audio-tactile device comprises a laminated foil (A), made up of two foils attached to each other, namely: a basic foil (1) provided with some raised graphic signs (a, b and c), said signs being of Braille type and/or symbols, drawings or photos, and a complementary foil (2) with flexible metal-coated wiring containing a bidimensional matrix of tactile sensors, placed in front of each graphic sign, the sensors being connected by means of a strip (3) of flexible wires with an electronic module (B) meant to identify a sign or a group of graphic signs by means of some electrical signals emitted when the graphic signs are pressed, and to convert said signals into audio signals corresponding to the sign or group of signs that were pressed, by means of a decoding module (6) linked with a microprocessor (7) which controls an audio amplifier (8) provided with a local or external loudspeaker (9), the electronic module (B) being supplied from a buffer battery charger (5).</p> |
