The invention relates to an installation meant for the manufacture of particle-reinforced composite materials by using free flow casting. According to the invention, the installation is placed on a support table (1) and comprises a crucible (10) provided with some heating resistors (9) and a paddle (8) for mixing the molten material, the crucible (10) being carried by a support (17) and sealed with a lid (11) fastened by means of some screws (12) provided with washers (21), the paddle (8) is driven by a motor (16) by means of a gin (13) and a belt (14), the motor (16) being fastened on a vertical support (15), the axle of the paddle (8) is centered in the lid (11) by means of a rolling contact bearing (24), the crucible (10) has at its bottom part an area (7) wherethrough the melt flows into a crystallizer tank (6) provided with a water cooling connection (5), and after the molten material is poured into a guide pipe (2), it is entrained further on by a rack system driven by a motor (18) and discharged by means of a roll (3) actuated by some driving rolls (20). |
