摘要 <p>The invention relates to a composite material made of successive layers of hard sintered alloy based on metal carbides, to a process for preparing the same and to a product having wear-proof properties. According to the invention, the material consists of successive layers of hard sintered alloys based on metal carbides and carbonaceous materials graphitized, either wholly or partially, between 1% and 100%. The claimed process for preparing the said material consists in pressing powders, at the ambient temperature, in successive layers: metal carbide powders containing at least 60% WC, up to 30% metal binder containing Co, Ni, Fe, Mo or mixtures thereof, and, possibly, for the remainder to 100% by weight, other metal carbides and graphite powders or partially graphitized powders, having a carbon content of at least 99%, the pressing force being applied increasingly, so that the specific pressure does not exceed 400 MPa, afterwards there being applied a thermal treatment for removing the organic pressing binder, at temperatures up to 400°C, under protective atmosphere, followed by a pre-sintering and sintering thermal treatment in the temperature range from 1300...1450°C, for 30...60 min. The claimed product made of the material obtained by said process has up to 60% less weight as compared to a solid product made of WC-based hard sintered alloy.</p>
