Thiophene compounds and thrombopoietin receptor activators

A 3-hydroxythiophene-3-yl hydrazide represented by the formula (I): wherein R1 is a phenyl group. R2 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, R3 is a phenyl group, a pyridyl group or a thienyl group and R4 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, a tautomer, prodrug or pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound or a solvate thereof. Also disclosed is the use of said hydrazide for increasing platelets.
