Melt spinning yarns - from polyamides polyesters polyolefines and texturising at speeds over 2000 metres per min

Polyamide, polyester or polyolefine filaments used in the mfr. of matted fibre webs are melt spun and then texturised at rates in excess of 2000 m. per min. by cooling the spun filaments with a transverse flow of air to a temp. below the solidification of the melt and then drawing the cooled filaments with a force corresponding to the stretching tension over a heating element which raises the temp. of the filaments over the solidification temp.
