A mask system is disclosed for treating sleep disorder breathing having a flexible shell and cushion unit having a central aperture, a rigid frame engageable with the shell and cushion unit, a rigid ring-shaped member engageable with the shell aperture peripheral wall, a rotatable elbow engageable with the rigid ring-shaped member, vent holes being provided in the shell and cushion unit, and headgear attachment points on the rigid frame.
