PURPOSE: A steering system for construction equipment is provided to improve energy efficiency by preventing the amount of hydraulic fluid from being rapidly increased. CONSTITUTION: A steering system for construction equipment comprises a steering actuator(10), a hydraulic pump(20), a drive path(31), and a pump control unit(60). The steering actuator drives and steers a steering wheel. The hydraulic pump bidirectionally discharges hydraulic fluid. The drive path forms a closed circuit by connecting the steering actuator and the hydraulic pump. The pump control unit controls the hydraulic pump.
