Disclosed is a kayak (1) with deployable components for stabilisation. The kayak comprises: a unitary molded shell body having a front portion(2) and a back portion defining a main axis, and in between, a middle portion (5) forming a recess or cavity; and one or more stabilizer(s) (3) adapted to be deployable and demountable from the back portion. The, or each, stabilizer(s) is/are deployable at an angle up to about 90° from the main axis and is/are deployable about a single pivot point located at, or about, the back portion of the shell body. The stabilizer(s) is/are configured to fit within the recess or cavity defined by the middle portion when the kayak is not in use or is to be stored.
