The invention related to area of oceanographic investigations and is intended mostly for determination of characteristics of short sea wind waves. The invention provides increase of accuracy of measurements due to removal of factor of effect of water flow on string wave recorder indicators, this provides fixation of those even under conditions of stormy sea, and due to decrease of length of part of rod that carries wave recorder indicators immersed to water, and along with that – provision of needed immersion of indicators. Device for measurement of characteristics of waves on sea surface has telescopic element with vertical beam installed over the water surface, this intersects the boundary air-water. On the rod horizontal holders are fixed, at least three in number. The upper holder is fixed at above of the beam, the lower one – at beneath, at level of maximal depression of the waves under investigation. The holders serve for supply of string wave recorder indicators that with the upper ands are rigidly fixed on the upper holder and go through the openings provided in the other holders. The lower ands of the holders are provided with loads for needed tension of indicators. Openings of the holders provide vertical position of indicators at given distance one from another. |
