A method for making a dry infant milk mixture such that rice flour or buckwheat flour, or oat flour, or oatmeal is used as a vegetable component. Sugar and/or milk sugar, and/or low sugar syrup are used as a carbohydrate component. Dry milk component comprises nonfat milk or reconstituted milk, cream, mineral salts, vegetable fat, water-soluble and fat-soluble vitamins, choline and biotin. The dry milk component has a milk fat content from 24 to 38 wt.% and a vegetable fat content from 8 to 16 wt.%. The dry milk component is obtained by a method which includes mixing the nonfat milk or reconstituted milk with cream obtaining normalized milk, mixing the normalized milk with the mineral salts obtaining the first liquid mixture, cleaning the first liquid mixture, heat treatment and condensing the first liquid mixture obtaining a condensed mixture with a dry matter content from 38 to 50 wt.%, mixing the condensed mixture with vegetable fat, water-soluble and fat-soluble vitamins, choline and biotin obtaining the second liquid mixture, homogenizing the second liquid mixture, heat treatment and drying the second liquid mixture. |
