PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To settle the problem of a production method for conventional double-toed hosiery which gives sand feeling caused by thick sewn portion and has fear of causing damages due to stress concentration, when worn on the foot. SOLUTION: When producing with a cylinder knitting machine a double-toed hosiery whose toe portion is formed by overlapping two bag-shaped portions, knitting of an inside bag portion 18a is started with the cylinder knitting machine from the toe of the hosiery, when reaching a part corresponding to a middle part of the hosiery and after completing the knitting on a state of opening a knitting starting portion 40 thereof, on a state of grasping and holding a knitting finishing end 16a of the inside bag portion 18a on the cylinder knitting machine, knitting of an outside bag-shaped portion 18b covering the inside bag-shaped portion 18a is started with the cylinder knitting machine from the toe of the hosiery, when reaching the part corresponding to the middle part, knitting is finished on a state of opening a knitting starting portion 42 thereof, then, the knitting finishing ends 16a, 16b of the inside cylindrical portion 18a and the outside cylindrical portion 18b are connected with the cylindrical knitting machine to knit a heel portion, a leg portion and a rib top portion serially and, thereafter, each of the opened knitting starting portion 40, 42 is independently sewn.
